Just thought Richard and maybe others not familiar with Michigan research
would like to know about the Michigan State Library web site which includes
FREE, searchable 1870 census pages. This is not just an index, but includes
links to the actual scanned pages which are downloadable in pdf format and
viewable (and zoomable!) with Adobe Acrobat. The URL is <

for which I am repeatedly grateful.
