My great grandmother was, according to what her husband told the grandkids, 'taken in white slavery' when her child, my grandmother, was only 5. This would have been about 1920. They were living in Jackson, MI. Does anyone have ANY idea of where to look? My great grandmother was Neva Belle Brown Ferris. Her parents were Daniel Brown and Emma Ailing Brown.
