Of Portage

Passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003 at his residence. Jeffrey was born June 21, 1958 in Kalamazoo, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Weller) Cheesebro, and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo and Portage area. He was a graduate of Gull Lake High School (Class of 1976), and was employed with USF Holland Trucking for the past several years. Jeffrey was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was very generous and talented and could fix anything. On September 29, 1979 he was united in marriage to the former Laura Hamilton, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Kaitlyn and Kimberly Cheesebro, both at home; his parents, Robert (Phyllis) Cheesebro of Richland; grandparents, Clyde (Nina) Cheesebro of Vicksburg; 2 brothers, Michael Cheesebro and Scott Mix of Battle Creek, Daniel (Iris) Cheesebro of Portage; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service!
will be held 1:00 o'clock Sunday, March 30 at the Berean Baptist Church, 7813 S. 12th St. Private interment of cremains will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Online memorialization at www.langelands.com.
