Died January 2, 2004 at home. Neil was born in Kalamazoo on September 4, 1928, the son of Neil W. and Dena (DeWall) Peters Sr. He was owner of Neil's Automotive Service Inc. He was preceded in death by a son, Neil W. Peters III in 1974; two brothers, Donald and John: and two sisters, Maxine Olvitt and Virginia VanOoy. Neil is survived by his wife Phyllis (Bultema), whom he married on January 27, 1949. Also surviving are 4 children and their spouses, Stephanie Peters of Kalamazoo, Linda Ruth and Daniel Paul Dalrymple of Plainwell, Denise and Jeffrey Brennan of Van Meter, IA, Patrick John Peters and Shannon DenHamer of Paw Paw: three grandchildren, Neil Brinkerhuff, Joshua and Zachary Brennan; four step-grandchildren, James and Jennifer Dalrymple, Brian and Justin Clarke: several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 7, 2004 from 6 until 8 p.m. at

where a scripture Service will be held Wednesday evening. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 10:30 a.m., Father Kevin Covert, Celebrant. Immediately after mass a luncheon will follow in Marian Hall. Memorials may be made to Worcester Academy for the scholarship established in 1974 in memory of Neil W. Peters III or to the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be available at church.
