Passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Philip was born October 20, 1949 in Detroit, the son of John R. and Lynne R. (Herot) Law. He grew up in Fraser, MI and was a graduate of Fraser High School. He also attended Macomb Community College. After living in Florida for a time, he returned to Michigan and lived in Kalamazoo since 1970. He was employed by Greco's Restaurant for 12 years and formerly owned and operated the Summer Thyme Cafe in Milwood. On August 7, 1988 he was married to the former Sue Kerns, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Dr. Summer (Timothy Marcinkowski) Liston of Portland, OR and Tracey (Michael) Downey of Fraser, MI; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Megan Downey; his parents, John and Lynne Law of Port St. Lucie, FL; and one brother, Jack Law of Honolulu, HI. Services will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the LANGELAND Family Funeral Homes PORTAGE CHAPEL, 411 E. Centre Ave. Cremation will follow. Friends may meet the family at the Portage Chap!
el Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
