Went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon May 2, 2005. Ida was born February 7, 1911 in Marion, Michigan a daughter of Bert T. and Johanna (Brinks) Jager. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Kalamazoo Paper Box Company for 25 years before retiring. She was also a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Ralph, Tom, and Fred Jager; 3 sisters, Reca Winkle, Margaret VanderMuelen, and Janet Jenema. She is survived by 4 children, William (Judi) Tuin of Kalamazoo, Robert (Judy) Tuin of Pine Lake, Jean (Terry) Wolthuis of Otsego, and Henry Tuin, Jr. of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren, Timothy (Ann) Tuin, Linda (Steven) DeVries, Steven (Jennifer) Tuin, Tiffany (Brett) VanTilburg, Troy (Natalie) Wolthuis, Terra (Ryan) Prough, and Joshua Tuin; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude (James) Schimmel of Grand Rapids, a brother, Harold (Verna) Jager of Grand Rapids, 2 brothers-in-law, T!
om Winkle of Grand Rapids and Everett (Leona) VanDerMuelen of Falmouth, MI; a sister-in-law, Renetta Jager of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest North Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Second Christian Reformed Church or the charity of your choice. www.langelands.com.
