Mrs. Patricia A. BOYKIN - Kalamazoo, passed away suddenly Monday morning, April 13, 1998 at her home. Pat was born in Kalamazoo February 7, 1935, the daughter of Francis and Nellie (SMITH) NEWLUN. She graduated from WMU in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree and was employed by First Community Federal Credit Union in Parchment. She was a member of the Otsego Elks Ladies where she served as Treasurer, and the Borgess Service League. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and boating. on June 26, 1953, she married Jack S. BOYKIN, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (Robert) SHIPE of Auburn Hills, MI, and Laura BOYKIN of Kalamazoo; two grandchidlren, Heather Lynn HOLCOMB and William Robert SHIPE of Auburn Hills; her brother, Jack (Charlotte) NEWLUN of Alaabama; two sisters, Sandra (Donald) COTE of Gun Lake and Judith (Ken) MUELLER of Watertown, WI; a sister-in-law, Billie (Larry) DORN of Ft. Myers, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in dea!
th by two sisters, Sally and Donna NEWLUN. Friends will be received at the funeral home beginning 5 p.m. Wednesday, where Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'cock with Rev. Stephen W. Tucker, of First Congreational Church of Otsego, officiating. Interment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Michigan Elks Major Project. The family will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Joldersma & Klein 917 S.
