Miss Ada B. COLLINS - Kalamazoo, Died Monday, April 13, 1998, Ada was born July 21, 1913 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of James and Evabelle (TURNBULL) COLLINS, and was a lifelong resident here. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1931, Western Michigan University in 1936, and received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Michigan in 1948. Prior to her retirement, she taught in the Kalamazoo Public School System for 29 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Elks Lodge. Surviving are her brother, James D. "Bud" (Shirley) COLLINS of Concrete, WA; a niece, Mary Ann (Tom) MARTIN of Lansing, MI; and a nephew, Jim (Beverly) COLLINS of Mt. Vernon, WA; two very special friends. Fanny Pirie and Frances Smeda. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes, 913 E.
