formerly of Kalamazoo

A longtime Kalamazoo resident, he passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, in Sturgis. Tony was born May 13, 1915 in Indiana. He operated Tony's Barber Shop in Lakewood for many years and he was also employed by KTS Industries as a machinist. Tony moved to Sturgis after the death of his wife. On June 25, 1955, he married Vera Nelson who preceded him in death on August 15, 1995. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Mary Desimone, in 2000; two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his son, James Desimone of Sturgis; several grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 to 11, where services will be held at 11 o'clock with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
