The Vicksburg Commercial, 2-9-1934
Chas. Wallace, 83, To Be Buried Saturday
Charles Howard Wallace, 83, of Vicksburg passed away at his homr early Thursday
morning, February 8, of pneumonia after a short illness. He had lived in or
near Vicksburg for the last 35 or 30 years and had many friends here. Funeral
services will be held at the Rupert Funeral Home on South Main Street Saturday,
Feb. 10 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. Thomas Leamon will officiate and
burial will take place in Vicksburg. The deceased was born in Maumee, Ohio in
1851. He leaves five sons, William of Dewitt, Michigan, Clyde of St. Paul,
Minn., Dayton of Burr Oak, Olin of Vicksburg and Floyd of Coloma and two
daughters, Mrs. Ida Cole of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Ada Carr of Vicksburg besides a
number of grandchildren and a host of friends.
