Miss Helen Bates
South New Lyme, Ohio

Dear Miss Helen:
Yours received and I enclose Lee's standings. It is strange that I
neglected to date and sign them before. I am sorry to have overlooked it.
I am so busy that I cannot take time to write a letter just now but will
try to soon. Please do not always wait for me but let me hear from you once
in a while any way and I will write whenever I can. I hope to have a little
more spare time soon.
I visited your old school last week and it seemed so strange with none of
your family there.
With best wishes to all and many thanks for your understanding letter. I am

Sincerely yours (though hastily)
Irene Louise Getty"
