Surname: MEYER, MEYERS, WEVER, TEN BRINK, BERENS
-------------------------
I am searching for information about the second husband of Jenny/Jana/Johanna/MEYER(S)/WEVER/TEN
BRINK/BERENS.
Her first husband had died before she and her children came to America
about 1882. Jennie had been born about 1830 in Germany.
Swenna Harger and Loren Lemmen in The Country of Bentheim and her Emigrants
to North America indicate Jennie (Janna), as immigrating in the early 1880's
and her sister Wilhelmina (both listed as daughters of Wasse MEYER), born
1799, as having immigrated May 11, 1848, the supposed sisters born 31 years
apart.
My aunt recently told me of meeting a couple in a retirement home quite
a few years ago who said they were relatives of Jennie's second husband,
a TEN BRINK. The license for her marriage to Mr. BERENS also indicates
this marriage, which must have taken place between the early 1880s and
1892.
However I have not been able to find record of this marriage or indication
of this Mr. TEN BRINK's first name. No records in Allegan County have been
found for her marriage to Mr. TEN BRINK, I am wondering if that marriage
was in Ottawa or Kent
County.
Jennie's third marriage took place in Allegan County. Jennie is listed
there as as Johana, daughter of Wm.Meyer, born in Germany, and as having
had two previous marriages. The wedding was on June 6, 1892, in Salem Twp.Allegan.
