Hi Maureen,
My great-grandfather Denis/Daniel Zusy came to Cleveland, Ohio in 1872. He was from Alsace, which was French until the Franco Prussian War and then was German after the war. There were Zusy's in a lot of the towns in Alsace; but, I have been having a lot of trouble locating the town that my gr-grandfather came from. I believe I have seen you Emil Zusy's name in some of my notes from Cleveland. If I can find them, I'll let you know what I have. You can e-mail me if you would like to compare notes.
