I am helping a Peter Ekhart with this family. I believe that Johanna Ekhart Trap may be the 1st wife of Peter, son of Herman. According to census records and Peter's obit, he was married 3 times. I believe that Herman's daughter, Johanna a.k.a. Josie, married a Nicholas Hayes about 1899. In the 1898 city directory for Grand Rapids. Josie is living with her mother, Anna, widow of Herman. Nicholas and Josie can be found on Ancestry. I have put together a short file on this family. I would be glad to send you a copy, if you contact me at my email address.
