Edward M. Simons died 13 January 1902 aged 59 years 3 months 29 days of pneumonia. He was a resident of Grand Rapids, born in Canada, a wagon maker. His parents were George Simmons (sic) and Maria I. Brewer. Don't know whether this spelling change was a clerical mistake or an actual change made in life. Kent County death records book 5, page 330.
