In my database I have Luke BARNES, buried 02 Nov, 1890, Oakhill Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co. MI. Luke BARNES married Ellen COTHRELL, date & place unknown. Luke & Ellen (Cothrell) BARNES had one identified son, Luke BARNES, born abt. 1873, NY.
Ellen Cothrell BARNES was a sister to my Gr. Grandfather, Lorenzo Wallace COTHRELL. The COTHRELL clan was originally from N.Y. state, settled in Oakland Co. MI. abt. 1860. Then to Grand Rapids, MI.
