Age 89
Of Grand Rapids

Went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, February 27, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther. He is survived by son, Kent (Jane) Williamson; daughter, Sue (Stephen) Kovach of Roswell, NM; six grandsons; seven great-grandchildren and several cousins. Roger graduated from South High school in 1936 and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. He sold life and health insurance for Time Insurance Company and later as an independent agent. He directed choirs for Wealthy Street Baptist, Bethany Reformed and Seventh Reformed Churches and was involved with many Christian organizations including Rogma International, Gull Lake Ministries, RBC, Slavic Gospel Association, Cornerstone, ABWE, SIM, Children's Bible Hour, Singspiration, Baptist Mid-Missions and Trans World Radio. He thoroughly enjoyed golfing, sailing and water skiing. He wrote many poems and songs, some of which were published. A graveside service will be held at Fort!
Custer National Cemetery Friday 2:00 PM with Dr. Stephen Kovach, officiating. Memorials may be directed to: Rogma International, Inc., P.O. Box 2008, Easley, SC 29641-2008, Porter Hills Foundation-Benevolence Fund, or Radio Bible Class. Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am you may be also."
