Formerly of Grand Rapids

Robert (Bob) DeHollander, age 87, passed away May 4, 2008 living in Kalamazoo, originally from Grand Rapids. Loved ones left behind include: Thelma DeHollander (Thompson); two children, Robert Lee (Brenda) DeHollander, Yvonne (Bonnie) Schwarz; three step-children, Michael and Letticia Thompson of Ohio, Daniel Thompson of Ohio and David Thompson of Arizona; grandchildren include: Valery Moody, Craig (Shellie) Schwarz and Karl (Alaina) Schwarz, all of Grand Rapids and step-grandson, Raymond Thompson of Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Erynn and Jarrett Schwarz. Preceded in death by wife, Jackie DeHollander and son-in-law, Philip Schwarz. Robert was a member of the German American Club & and avid gardener. His love of music played a large part in his life as well as the life of his family. He was a WW II Veteran of the Navy. Robert (Bob) will be largely missed by many. A memorial service with military honors will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park in Grand Rapids, June !
9, 2008 at 1:30 PM. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association. 269-343-1508
