Hello Laura,
Thanks for that information. It does help and I appreciate it very much. One item that confuses me...according to her death record, her father is FRANK HILL, but I have her father down as EDWARD C. HILL. Here is Edward's obituary... As you see, VADA is mentioned as his daughter. I have no Frank Hill whatsoever in the HILL line. A conundrum...
THE HASTINGS BANNER (rest of citation currently unknown):
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR EDWARD HILL HELD ON SATURDAY
Edward C. HILL, 73, of Nashville, former factory worker, died Thursday at the Thornapple Valley Medical Center where he had lived the past 16 months.
Born July 5, 1888, in Hastings township, he was a son of William and Olive (MAIN) HILL.
Surviving are three sons, Raymond, Harry and Eldon, and one daughter, Mrs. Vada MAYBORN, all of Grand Rapids, and four sisters, Miss Pearl HILL, Mrs. Emma HART and Mrs. Iva HINES, all of Nashville and Mrs. Beulah FULLER, of Lansing.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m Saturday from the Vogt Funeral home in Nashville, with the Rev. J. E. Shaw of the Evangelical United Bretheren Church officiating. Burial was made in Lakeview cemetery.
NOTE: Mayborn should be MAYBORE, Hines should be HYNES.
