At that time and with the name McDermott, I would expect he would have been
buried in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Other options would be Holy Cross or Mt.
Calvary. I did check the cemetery listings on the Kent Co. Genweb, but
found no listing. I did find McDermott's in St. Andrews but no John. Those

lists were usually generated by walking through the cemetery and documenting

the tomb stones.

All Catholic cemeteries are now run by Resurection Cemetery (at least they
have the same phone number). Not sure if the St Andrew's Cemetery is still

used for buriels or if it is full. You can reach Resurection at: 4100 Clyde

Park S.E., Grand Rapids, 49509 or at 616-53-9320. I have called them for
information and they were very willing to check buriel records and send
copies.
