My great grandfather was a clergy during the mid 1850s, in NY. He then went to his professional interest, but stayed very active in this church in California. He was James Ellison Mills and it was the Swedenborgian Church. (needed education in that, I did). His writings are terrific. Good luck on finding your reverends.
