I have Wills from both John Valentine Mills (proved 1862)and his wife Elizabeth Doty Mills(proved 1870) from Darke Co, OH. I wish I could find the documentation that connects John V to Joseph and Jane Mills.

What are some of your names of your MILLS of Darke Co. Ohio?

Colonel James MILLS B: 1756 and wife, Sarah REED came as early settlers to
the Northwest Territory. Sarah was known as a doctor in those early days.

They lived in the now Hamilton Co. Ohio area for a while, till they removed
up to Darke Co. Ohio. Colonel James and Sarah came from Sussex Co. NJ. she was
the dau of Azur REED and Sarah SUTTON. One researcher has noted that they
thought James' father was a John MILLS.

There is also a John MILLS B: ca 1775-1790 (based on date of marriage) wife
Abigail DICKERSON also of Sussex CO. NJ. They were married ca 1806 Sussex Co.
NJ.

John could have been either an Uncle to James or ? Anyone have any insight
to these families?

I have not been able to link up any adult MILLS men that could be father's
or ? to these MILLS.

I will put in the John MILLS B: 1733 Sussex Co. NJ wife Rebecca SMITH of
Sussex Co. NJ who removed to Ontario, Canada.

Another researcher on gencircles.com has this John with wife Billi, marriage
ca 1745 also of Ontario Can.
I did talk to a researcher who lives in Missouri and she was saying her Aunt
also found the same information about John and a Billi in their research
over 10 years ago.

She seems to be a descendant through that MILLS line.
