Hi,
I am continuing my research into the above named families and am re-posting a query from August in the hope that new people have come on board. I would most appreciate any help from any and all comers.

I am researching the Charles Frank-Christina Hill (Hell) family from Monroe County, MI. Christina Hill in 1870 was married to Baden (Germany)-born shoemaker Charles F. Frank and was living in Ward 1 of the City of Monroe. Her mother, 60-year-old Julia Hill (aka Hell), lived with them and their three children, Charles H. -- age 7, William N -- age 5. and infant Amanda Frank.

Christina Hell (Hill) was born February 26, 1846 in Weingarten, Baden (Germany) and emigrated that town with her parents Christian Hell, born December 21, 1810, and Juliana (Martin) Hell, born February 2, 1809, and three siblings -- Juliana, b. April 27, 1836; Katharina, b. August 11, 1842; and Christian, b. May 10, 1850. Siblings Christian and Katharina had moved from Monroe to Adrian, Lenawee County, MI. prior to 1870 Census, as both are there in 1870, she as the wife of William Grassman, he as an apprentice "Tinner" working for the Richard L. Bates Hardware.

I assume father Christian Hill (Hell) died sometime prior to 1870, but after 1856, as he had fathered another child in that year with his wife Juliana (Julia); a Louisa Hill, who in 1870 was 14 years old and living in Adrian with her older sister (then named) Catherine (Hill) Grassman.

Thank You, Wayne Johnson
