The present Cooper campus of Covenant Health Care which was originally St
Luke's Hospital has a series of black and white photos of the history of
Cooper campus (St Luke's) including a picture of the original Saginaw
Women's Hospital on Janes Street hanging on the hall wall of the main wing
just west of the main elevators. For those who are familiar w/the original
St Luke's on Cooper street before any of the additions, these photos are
across from what was the old Gift Shop. My mother worked at Luke's in
billing and payroll all the while I was growing up. I played in the
excavation for the first addition (the east wing) - after construction
hours, of course, and much to the chagrin of hospital personnel who caught
or saw me. And the embarrassment of my mother!!
