I am new to this mailing list and would like to submit the names I am currently researching in case there are others on this list who are also researching the same surnames:

I am primarily researching the MORRIS and CUDDEBACK/CUDABACK surnames who came to Shiawassee County (primarily Shiawassee Twp. and Perry Twp.) ca 1860 from Niagara Co., NY. The MORRIS families included are brothers:
Evi/Levi A.S. MORRIS (1819-1894)
Samuel S. MORRIS (1820-1912)
Reuben H.B. MORRIS (1826-1915)
Joseph Wilson MORRIS (1839-1921)
William Oscar MORRIS (1846-1916)

Also, Joseph. L. MORRIS (b. ca 1840; d. ca 1887) is related to this family, although I am not exactly sure how.

The CUDABACK/CUDDEBACK family are cousins of the MORRIS family. Families found in Shiawassee County include:
Charles CUDDEBACK (b. ca 1815)
James CUDABACK (b. ca 1781)
Beardsley CUDABACK (1815-1893)

I also have found connections to the surnames BROCK, CARR, DURFEE, ESCOTT, FERGUSON, HARDER, HOELMER, HOUGH, KELLOGG, VanKUREN, LEMON, LEWIS, SENFF, STEELE, STRAUCH, MAT(T)HEWS, WHITAKER.

I would be interested in corresponding with anyone researching these names to see if we can make a connection.
