Nicolas Klemmer, a well known and esteemed German resident of St. Clair town, died on Wednesday night from heart disease from which he has suffered for some time. 56 years of age, Mr. Klemmer was born in Prussia and came to this country in 1852, living about a year in Ohio and moving thence to this county. His mother, four brothers and a sister emigrated with him, and of these his three brothers together with a wife and nine children survive him. He was an ardent supporter of the Catholic church and a firm believer in the Republican party. The funeral services were largely attended on Saturday at St. Mary's church in this city.
