LONG, WOODWORTH, STARKS, FARR

Sturgis; Kenneth G. LONG, age 62, of 307 N. Franks Ave., Sturgis and formerly of Leonidas, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 at Sturgis Hospital, where he was a patient for three weeks.

He was born Feb. 16, 1937 in Three Rivers, a son of H. Carlton and Irene (WOODWORTH) LONG.

Ken had resided in Leonidas since 1943, before moving to Thurston Woods Villa earlier this year. He was a graduate of Colon High School and was the office manager for Edgerton Glass Company in Battle Creek for many years, before failing health forced him to retire.

He is survived by his mother, Irene LONG of Sturgis; a brother, Robert LONG of Centreville; and 2 sisters, Phyllis STARKS of Three Rivers and Lillian FARR of Sturgis.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. today in Leonidas Cemetery with Rev. Thomas J. Truby pastor of the Mendon United Methodist Church officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
