LOCKE, HOMOL, LEEPER, CARLSON, HOYT, REESE

Sturgis; Charles Paul LOCKE, 40, of 607 Jean Ave., Sturgis, Mich., died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Neb.

He was born June 24, 1959 in West Hanover, Mass., a son of James and Shirley (HOMOL) LOCKE.

Charles had been a Sturgis resident since 1991, coming from Merrysville, Calif. On July 2, 1999 he married Rose LEEPER in White Pigeon.

Charles was an independent over the road truck driver and was currently working for Transport America In Eagan, Minn. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978-1900.

He was a member of Eagles Lodge #1314 and enjoyed camping, flowers, animals, football and spending time with his children.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Denise CARLSON, stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.; 2 sons, Jason LOCKE of Wadsworth, Ohio and Lucas LOCKE of Sturgis; a stepdaughter, Abigail HOYT of Sturgis; his parents, James and Shirley LOCKE of Olivehurst, Calif.; a sister, Anna REESE of Merrysville, Calif.; 3 brothers, James LOCKE of Merrysville, Thomas LOCKE of Olivehurst, and Ronald LOCKE of Fort Bragg, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis. Graveside services and burial will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sturgis Memorial Gardens. Pastor Pat Glass, White Pigeon United Methodist Church, will officiate.

If desired memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
