Hi,

The 1877 History of St. Joseph County Michigan has this:

p. 215 (Park Township)

"Amos Reed and Ann Hower were married in 1837."

"First Cemetery . . . located on the northeast quarter of section
thirty-five . . . Among the prominent citizens buried there are Amos Reed, Joseph
Sterling, James Foster, John Weinberg, John Boudeman, George Leland and wife, and
others."

p. 217 Parkville Methodist Episcopal Church: Amos Reed was a member and
appointed a trustee on 23 January 1844. Also appointed trustee: Isaiah Reed.
Amos, his wife and Isaiah are listed among the first members.

Other Reeds in the index include:
Andrew, Ann, Casper, Daniel, Pvt. Elijah (Civil War list), George, Jacob A.,
Jonathan, Rev. William.

Hope this helps.

Peg
