Dear Jan Tripp:
Please give me the address of the new GSWC Library now located in Saline. I
was corresponding with Nancy Krohn by e-mail and she thought that the GSWC
library would be interested in receiving a copy of my Family History on the
Podewils Family. They immigrated from Pommern in 1858. I would like to
mail this from Michigan since postage is very expensive in Canada. I may be
visiting Port Huron, Mich. in the near future and could mail a copy from the
Mall Post Office.
I have included documentation from all sources including inscriptions from
family books dating back to 1766, Ship's List, 1858, Ann Arbor and
Northfield Twp. Directories, Census records, Political Enrollments, etc. as
well as documentation from LDS records available on line. I also show
relationships with four other families who resided in Ann Arbor and
Northfield Townships. I included background material on the political
situation in Pommern from the reign of Frederick the Great to the mid 19th
century and tried to integrate this with my own family history.
I certainly hope that I can visit your new center in the future.
Sincerely,
Doris Podewils Anderson
