To everyone who has written with search suggestions, I send a big "thank
you". I'll follow through on as many as I'm able.. I do have Ancestry.com so
will try some of their databases.

I don't know the types of businesses in the area in the 30's & 40's but my
Uncle Paul Taylor was a master machinist; Dad said he doubted there was a
piece of machinery he couldn't operate.
