Subject: [MIWASHTE] Manchester Death Lookups
Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2008 14:33:40 EDT

HI everyone,
Yes I would be happy to do death looks for Manchester in the sources I have.

I would appreciate it if everyone would put in the subject line Manchester
Deaths
That way I can organize them.

Please understand that I have out of town relatives coming in tomorrow for
the chicken broil and I am also involved in a community theatre production, so
we are deep into rehearsals. So If I don't get back to you the same day
please understand.

What I have available:
1. 1st Original Oak Grove Cemetery book 1856 to about late 1880's
2. 2nd Original Oak Grove Cemetery book 1880's to about mid 1920's
3. Mr. Albert English's death list of Manchester 1833-1928 (we have found
that not every death is listed)
4. Jenter Funeral Home records from 1905 through 1931
5. Copy of the Sexton book, for Oak Grove, shows mainly who owns lots, in
some cases who is buried there. This is update as to about the late 1990's

I do have access to off site records to these
1. Book 3 of Oak Grove Cemetery Manchester from mid 1920's to made th 198-'
early
2. Other Jenter Funeral Home records,
However, I won't be able to get to these for another week, after next week.

Thanks

Karen Jenter

Karen - thanks for the offer, but no need to worry at this time. I am going
to hang on to the Barker info you gave me and see what I turn up. If those
Barkers are members of my family, I would need to find the connection in
England - and I have not pinpointed my Barkers there yet.I only know they were from
Lincolnshire - and the records available online I have searched don't tell
me more.

It is useful to know that I need to haunt the Bentley Library one of these
days.
