Hi list,

I have found some information that may spark someone's memory.

I am looking for the family of GEORGE and CHARLOTTE GITTENS, born in England
approximately 1815 and 1825, respectively. They apparently migrated to the
U.S., Wayne County, Michigan, and were found in the 1870 Livonia Township
census. GEORGE was 55 and a farmer. CHARLOTTE was 45 and keeping house.
Their children: George, 17; Thomas, 14; Charlotte, 11 (my
great-grandmother); Lucy, 10; John, 8; and, Rose, 6. All children were born
in England and came to the U.S. around 1864 or so. If anyone has any
information at all on these GITTENS, please, please email me at
. The younger Charlotte, age 11, eventually married
GEORGE W. MILLER appr. 1878 and lived in Redford Township, where they had 4
or 5 children of their own. Edward was the eldest, then my grandfather,
GEORGE, then Charlie, Frank, and finally, Walter. Walter married Zella
unknown last name, and was located on the census of either 1910 or 1920.

Hoping for great luck on this one.

Debbie H.

SURNAMES: MILLER, GITTENS
