Conrad GRAM married Catherine (Fischer) FISHER and lived in the
Toronto area at the corner of Finch Street and another which I cannot
remember. They had son who was the Rev. Henry GRAM M.E. Rev. Henry
was my husband's grgrandfather, They had son Wellington Gram who
married Hannah Elizabeth HERRINGTON /HARRINGTON. Wellington GRAM died
in Dakota, USA at an early age, leaving his widow with two small sons.
I have found descendants on the GRAM WorldConnect this weekend, some of
them who are cousins to both of us as Elizabeth (HERRINGTON) GRAM was
the daughter of Abram HERRINGTON and Hannah READ married in Markham
April 1844. Abram and Hannah Herrington are interred in Avon
Cemetery, Westminster Twp, Middlesex County, Ontario. Also their
daughter Sarah Eleanor Herrington married George BILLINTON and they
are also intered in Avon Cemetery. A number of the offspring moved to
Sanilac County, Michigan and area, the name seened to change from
Herringon to Harringnton. I wish to find descendants of John
HERRINGTON, Lafayette HERRINGTON, George Gamaliel HERRINGTON/HARINGTON.
John Herrington/Harrington son, descendant Lewis Arthur Harrington born
in Canada, is interred in Moore Township Cemetery with his wife Maude,
also on a small stone says Ira and Mary 1886. I wish to clarify that
Ira and Mary could be children of John and Sarah (Brillinger)
Harrington who moved to the Michigan area. They also have one child
interred in Avon cemetery in Westminster township, Middlesex County ON.
before they left Canada. John Harington was Postmaster in Urban, MI
and also so was his mother-in-law Mrs Billinger.
I also am in possession of a Christmas card mailed to Mrs Sarah
Billington at Eden, Elgin County,Ontario from her niece Hattie, this
card was mailed from Detroit in 1915 to my grandmother. Wish to find
how Hattie is connected to me.
The Family Bible which I have is in the name of HERRINGTON, however
most changed to HARRINGTON at some future point, datae of this change
unknown.
Any bit of information would be most welcome in searching for our
family connections both in Ontario and in Michigan, USA
