In 1861 and 1862 my ancestor Charles Smith was living at 42 Michigan Grand.
In 1863 he was at 42 Michigan. Were Michigan and Michigan Grand the same
street or was this just the usual City Directory sloppiness?

It's important because a couple of years later there's a Thomas Smith at
Michigan near Bates and then at 42 Michigan Avenue that I want to claim.

I can't find Michigan Grand on my 1880 Detroit map.
