Janet, write directly to the Detroit Public Library. They have newspapers on microfilm. If one was published they will sent it to you. Cost will be $2.50 and if not found they send a letter. Remember not everyone could afford to have death notices during that time period. If not results try the cemetery they will have records. If you don't have the cemetery information you will have to get the death certificate from Lansing.
