Recorders Court dating back in the 1920s to 1930s, that's IF there are any
archived files. Looking for arrest sheets/convictions back during
prohibition/depression era.
Hello list members,
The old Recorders Court is now part of the Wayne County Circuit Court but is
still located in the criminal court building on St. Antoine - the name of
the building is the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice. The clerk's office is on
the 9th floor. The last time I was there, they had an ancient computer with
a DOS database that you could use to search for a case. I don't believe the
database would go back to the 1920s or 30s. You have to place an order for
the file as the old ones are stored off site.
