Trinity Lutheran Cemetery
Wayne County, Michigan
5210 Mt. Elliot
Detroit MI

St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
23000 Gratiot Ave
Eastpointe 48021-1663

Any idea what part of Detroit? These are on the East side.

Good luck on the first one. They will probably charge a fee, not answer or
give incorrect information...such as the person is not buried there when
they ARE! They will usually only search by date of death but it's worth a
try. The secretary is nice and she tries hard but can only do so much.

The second church is very nice but they don't usually do extensive lookups
just a name or two or you go yourself.

Good Luck.
Robyn

> Hello. A German family I'm researching (the Marlow's) came to Detroit in
1865. I am unable to find death records of the parents since many deaths
from the 1860s and '70s were not filed with the county. Can anyone suggest
the name of an old German Lutheran cemetery or two where I could write to
obtain the information on these individuals? I am not familiar with
Detroit's cemeteries...the one where they are buried would have to go back
to the 1860's, at least. Thank you very much!
