Thanks for your reply.There is no doubt that it is Martin J Welch, I have a copy of my grandmothers B'cert and SS application and it is very clear that it is a J. Yes, it was a delayed
birth certificate, (what ever that means) and it was for her to go to work. I have sent in for her and my grandfathers marriage record. And am trying to get a copy of her baptism record
and an affidavits of a uncle and aunt that she used for evidence to obtain her b'cert.Hoping their names will help in my search.
I have not found a thing on the census that I can relate to the welch or rochanski family. So I have no idea where they lived other than Springwells.
Do you know the names of the 5 children of Martin B and Anna? We just never know..
