Looked thru the on-line death notices for the Detroit Free Press/News and found nothing.
Possible something was published either in a local paper (don't know if Novi has one) or the Oakland Press.
You may want to try posting to the Oakland County list since Novi is in Oakland.
It also may be possible no death notice was published. The cost for even a small notice is expensive.
