I know I'm way behind on this, Marge, but I hope I can help anyway.
Years ago when I still lived in Detroit, I found my grandfather's
citizenship papers, both petition and final papers in the basement of
the Old County Building. I don't know if they still allow people to
search records there or not, but that's where I found mine.
