Thanks again for your response to my posting. I was able to find that particular volume of the Detroit Soc. for Gen Research magazine at my local library.

They have a major portion, but not all, of the Detroit Gen Soc. magazines. What they don't have are series indeces of the articles.

Since the St. Mary's records are split into several volumes of the magazine, can you tell me which years/volumes the St. Mary's records are abstracted to? I want to browse for variations of of surnames Dedrichs, Gassen, and Theissen in the death records for the years 1842-1846, or even later.

If the series of the St. Mary's records is contiguous, I would be happy with just the beginning and ending volume information. Thanks again for any assistance you can provide.
