Hello Evelyn,
This is going to be a very long email. By the time you get done
reading it, I will be asking for your phone number to call you and explain
everything and how I went about it. I would also like your address so that I can send
you the info what I got from Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
You said in your previous email.....
This is what we positively know:
Grandmother: Mary Flynn, Section 51, Tier 7, Grave 583
Step Grandfather: Owen Flynn, Section 51, Tier 6, Grave 757
Mary was buried May 12, 1930 and Owen buried July 4, 1930. I'm sorry to
say that neither one of them have a headstone. They are both buried in the
'single grave section'. I even probed the ground thinking that the headstone was
buried under the dirt and it wasn't so.
I also went further and asked about a Frances Marie Laman/Lehman. There
were no Francis Marie's, but I was told the following, Section 26, lot 224,
there are 5 Lehmann's.(look at the spelling)
Mary Catherine Born. 3-26-1860- died 8-2-1904, buried 8-5-1904
Anthony Born, unknown, buried 8-11-1913
Henry born. 11-25-1887-died 11-11-1924 buried 11-14-1924
Marie(Your Marie??) born 11-24-1867-died 12-25-1940-buried 12-28-1940.
Anna born 2-27-1868-died 1-10-1944, buried 1-13-1944.
Unfortunately, there are NO headstones for any of them either. But could
Marie be your Frances Marie? I ask this because many of people used their
middle names instead of their first names, also that this fit's the time frame for
her death as you stated.
I had spent just over 2 hours going back and forth to the office, to the
graves, etc. because when I do something for someone, I want it done right or
not at all. That's just the way I am.
Have a nice day.
Dave Gauvin
