nancy,

you're best bet would be to send to Lansing for the death cert.? cost is a few more dollars, i beleive, but will eliminate the what question.

be sure to include all the information you have--full name, dod etc.? the fees are nonrefundable and do include a three year search for you.? be sure to make copies of your check and letter, for just in case.

sorry don't have the web link handy but do try google.com. should be easy enough to find.? if not email me off list and i will find for you.?

happy hunting
marge

My great aunt died at a hospital on Michigan Avve. Detroit. I understand death
cert. are kept for city of Detroit and Wayne co. at different spots. Is this
correct? If so, the hospital on Michigan Ave. would be City of Detroit?
I want to send for her D.C. but need to know where to write the first time
around, as it costs money to do so.
Nancy
