Dear friends,
My apologies for the delay in getting this to you. I
have recently been in northern Cree territory near
Edmonton, meeting with survivors of Catholic
"residential schools" and United Church medical
experimentation at the Charles Camsell Hospital in
Edmonton.
The Camsell Hospital was a notorious place where
native children from Alberta and northern B.C. were
surgically sterilized and subjected to involuntary
experiments. Like the United Church's coastal
hospitals in Nanaimo and Bella Bella, it was operated
with federal government funds and protection.
I've interviewed numerous people who, as young
children, carried bodies of dead kids out of the
Camsell hospital to a secret burial site on the
hospital grounds. A similar "dumping ground" was right
next to the United Church's Edmonton Indian
Residential School.
Several of these witnesses were subjected to routine
electric shocks after disposing of the bodies to fog
their memory of the dead children.
At one of the reserves I visited last week (its
location to be kept confidential for now), a middle
aged native woman referred to "the eye experiments" at
the residential school; "They were trying to change
our eye colour from brown to blue".
This is another clue regarding the possible presence
of former Nazi eugenics researchers in Canada, since
the change of eye colour was a pet project of
Auschwitz "doctor" Joseph Mengele, who is reputed to
have worked with Ewen Cameron and other "Project
Paperclip" personnel in Canada during the late 1950's
and 1962-3.
The same eyewitness described polio vaccine
experiments in which children were involuntarily
injected with a "tainted" vaccine containing "SUV 40",
an immune inhibitor linked to the AIDS virus.
"My people were genetically altered in these
experiments" the woman said to me. "All the diabetes
and other sicknesses we're so prone to get were
planted in us at the genetic level."
The objective may have been to destroy native people
in stages, through implanting long-term illness and
disease in them at the genetic level.
Like a slowly emerging jigsaw puzzle, her comments
confirm what others have described across Canada. Like
mental patients, prisoners, orphans, and foster cared
children, native people in Canada have provided a huge
experimental pool of "guinea pigs" needed by the
dominant culture to craft a method of exterminating
particular races and groups.
But I also encountered new stories of hope. In 1970,
at the Blue Quills Catholic residential school east of
Edmonton, a group of native parents occupied the
building and refused to budge until the nuns and
priests were removed. The Saddle Lake Indians had had
enough of religious genocide and abuse of their kids.
Apparently an Indian Affairs official showed up to
negotiate, and the parents held a gun to the guy's
head and demanded an audience with Jean Chretien, then
minister of "Aboriginal Affairs". It worked. Chretien
met with their delegation, and the rez school was
closed, the Catholic church left, and the school was
re-opened under native control.
This was a first, and the repercussions were enormous.
Within two years, most of the residential schools
across Canada had been turned over to local native
bands, and the churches' reign of terror over native
kids was slowed.
So don't believe that the residential schools were
closed because of "benevolence" from the feds or the
churches. They were forced to close at gun point, and
because of great courage and direct action by native
parents.
Thank you to the Cree brothers and sisters who shared
these stories with me, and who are helping to recover
our largely "hidden history"!
These latest stories are but an example of the new
evidence of genocide that is emerging across Canada in
the wake of our work, now that witnesses feel more
free and able to talk of what they know.
ANNOUNCING ... JUNE 25 GENERAL MEETING
The Truth Commission is having its bi-monthly general
meeting on Wednesday, June 25 at 7 pm at the Canadian
Autoworkers Hall in New Westminster, BC, (@ 326-12th
street). Please call the number below if you need a
ride.
The meeting will review our work, share recent news,
and plan for our fall campaigns. The latter will
include organizing regional Tribunals into Genocide in
Canada in preparation for the arrival of United
Nations human rights investigator Rudolfo Stavenhagen
in March, 2004.
Stavenhagen has been in touch with me and our
Commission, and has promised to meet with us and with
any native witnesses to murder and genocide in Canada.
He has copies of our report, "Hidden from History: The
Canadian Holocaust".
The momentum is finally building for the truth of
ethnic cleansing in Canada to gain an international
hearing. And it has been our efforts that have caused
this to come about. Thank you!
INTERNATIONAL CHILD ABUSE MEMORIALS ... Our Commission
is working with a growing federation of groups whose
aim is to build public memorial sites for children who
have died or vanished in institutions and been
subjected to ongoing cult and ritual abuse.
Stay tuned for public actions in the fall to identify
and name pedophiles in high places, including in the
government and churches. If you have information on
such criminals, contact our Commission.
MORE ROADTRIPS BY KEV ... I have been invited to speak
in native communities in Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Ontario and the Maritimes before September, and in the
fall. These trips are crucial to not only document the
crimes but organize local Tribunals. If you live in
any of these regions, please contact me.
AND THE INEVITABLE ISSUE ... Funding. I can't get to
these folks without travel funds. I have to raise
$3500 before September. Please give whatever you can;
