Presents:
Indian Gaming in California:
Issues & Answers

Saturday July 12, 2003
Time: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
5250 Aero Drive
Santa Rosa, CA 95403

Newspapers sensationalize Indian gaming, but fail to answer basic
questions. Why are tribes able to build casinos and not be regulated by
the state? What is tribal sovereignty? What is Indian "trust" land?
This lecture will cover the controversial issues. Indian gaming
provides revenue that has improved the economies of tribal and regional
communities. However, high stakes gaming can create destructive images
of crime, greed, and environmental concerns that must be addressed. We
will take an in-depth look at the circumstances of Indian gaming in
California. In addition, an outlook for the future of California
tribes and their sovereign status will be shared. Bring your questions
and participate in this educational event. Learn everything you wanted
to know about California Indian Gaming, but did not know who to ask.

Seating is limited, Please call ahead to reserve your seat.
