From the Cottonwood County History 1870-1970, page 433:

Edward D. Tasler came to the United States in 1890 from Austria, Hungary. He lived in Iowa for a few years, then came to Dakota County, Minnesota, where he met and married Katherine Becker in 1898. The family moved to Cottonwood County in 1935 and lived there until 1935 when they moved to Osseo, Minn.

There were nine children in the family. Ed, living near Windom; Anton, in California; Joe, in Kansas City; Ennest, north of Windom; John in Osseo; Lillian (Mrs. Herman Miller) of St. Joseph, Mo.; Katherine (Mrs. Harold Jeske) of Windom; Frances of North Carolina, and Grace (Mrs. John McShave) of Osseo, Minnesota.
