I love the new webpage that you're doing and did find '2' land records of
family members. My most elusive relatives are the Carlson family. August
and Louise Carlson came to the US about 1865 from Colman Sweden. According
to stories, Charles Frank was born 'at sea' in December 1865. On 17 Nov
1887 Charles (the marriage license shows Carl) and Anna (Oleanna) Marie
Blege were married in Ann, Cottonwood, Minn. Six of their seven children
were born in Cottonwood Co and the seventh child was for in Washington State
in 1898. I have no history on any other children born to August & Louise or
anything before the marriage certificate of Charles (Carl).

My grandfather, Carl Carlson had twin cousins Oscar and Ole Backen, who were
close to the family. According to the 1910 census the John T Backen's had 9
children born in Minnesota and their last child born in Washington State
about 1904 and they had been married about 20 years. I'm trying to
determine if John's wife, Trivia's maiden name was Blege or Carlson.

Any information regarding any of these families would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,
Nancy
