Hi Kerstin,
That may be the right person for John L but not the one I am looking for. I am hoping to find a John or Johannes Johnson/Goranson who was born in 3/3/1853 in Skede, Sweden. He emigrated in 1858 to America with his father Goran Johannesson 11/6/1822, mother Stina Maria Johannsdotter 10/10/1830 both born in Sweden and sister Helena Christina Goransdotter born 11/2/1855 also in Sweden.
Helena was my great grandmother when she died in 1933 her obituary stated that her only brother had died several years before leaving her with 6 nieces and nephews living in Ironton, MN. Her wedding certificate states her last name as Goranson but later in census records, etc. it was listed as Johnson. Any help would be appreciated. Peg
