It is not that birth info is available, it is _recent_ birth info can be
easily made available and unfortunately also for nefarious purposes. Most
folks can do their immediate family tree research without public available
lists. Combine with not wanting to intrude on folks living, for Dakota
County, MN and any work I make public, I've adopted a 100 year rule "No
personal data unless that person was born at least 100 years ago.". I hope
others will follow this as a balance between genealogy, privacy and
simplicity.
